Pepper Japchae

A Chinese-style dish made by stir-frying peppers and beef eye of round, resulting in a spicy and delicious pepper japchae.

Oyster sauce1.5 tbsp

Instructions

Slice 160g of beef eye of round against the grain into 0.5cm thick strips and squeeze out any excess moisture.

Mix the sliced beef with 1 tbsp of potato starch, a suitable amount of egg, and a little cooking oil.

Slice the 2 green bell peppers, 1/2 red bell pepper, 1/2 onion, 2 seeded Cheongyang chili peppers, 2 shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo shoot strips.

Grease a frying pan with cooking oil, heat over medium heat, add the prepared beef, and stir-fry.

Once the meat is cooked, set it aside in a separate bowl.

Add 2 tbsp chili oil, 2 tbsp meat drippings, 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, and 1/2 tbsp salt to the pan, then add all the prepared vegetables and stir-fry until they wilt.

Add 1.5 tbsp oyster sauce and the cooked meat back in, stir-fry together with the vegetables, and serve.
