Stir-Fried Water Spinach

A delicious rice-thief dish made by stir-frying water spinach, known as morning glory in Southeast Asian countries like Thailand and Vietnam, until crunchy.

What You'll Need

Water spinach500g
Garlic10 cloves
Cooking oil4 tbsp
Salt1 pinch
Oyster sauce1 tbsp
Black pepper powderto taste
Chicken stock1/3 tbsp

Instructions

Separate the stems and leaves of the water spinach and set aside.

Roughly mince the garlic.

Pour a generous amount of cooking oil into a frying pan, add the minced garlic, and stir-fry over high heat.

Add the thick stems of the water spinach to the pan first and stir-fry with a pinch of salt.

Add the water spinach leaves and 1 tbsp of oyster sauce, and stir-fry over high heat until wilted.
