Instructions

Thinly slice the onion and green onion.

Place the pork belly on a griddle or in a pot and sear all sides over medium-high heat until golden brown.

Remove the seared pork belly and cut it into sizes suitable for boiled pork.

Place the cut pork belly back in, sear a little more, and gather the rendered fat to one side.

Add the whole kimchi into the rendered pork fat and fry it.

Pour 1.4L of water into the pot and add 1T of doenjang, 3T of soup soy sauce, and 1T of sugar to make a quick broth.

Pour the quick broth into the pot and bring to a boil.

Add 2T of minced garlic, 3T of red chili powder, and 1T of salted shrimp.

Add the sliced onion and green onion.

Add 1/2 block (100g) of whole butter and boil to finish.
