A recipe for a refreshing and tender blobfish soup made with fresh blobfish sourced from Sokcho Central Market.

Soup soy sauce1~2 tbsp

Instructions

Prepare the pre-boiled broth.

Slice the radish thinly, place it at the bottom of the pot, then add the bean sprouts and broth and bring to a boil.

Prepare the trimmed vegetables such as water dropwort, onion, green onion, Cheongyang chili pepper, red chili pepper, and enoki mushroom.

Once the broth starts to boil, reduce the heat to medium and simmer for about 20 minutes.

Add 1 tbsp of minced garlic.

Add the blobfish whole to the pot without cutting it and boil.

Season with soup soy sauce.

Add about 1 tsp of salt to adjust the seasoning.

Add the additional vegetables including onion, Cheongyang chili pepper, red chili pepper, green onion, water dropwort, and enoki mushroom.

Add 1~2 tbsp of red chili powder for a spicy kick and boil one last time to finish.
