Perilla Oil Mak-guksu (Buckwheat Noodles)

A simple and delicious perilla oil mak-guksu recipe made with a 1:2:3:3 ratio.

Instructions

Boil water in a pot, and once boiling, add two handfuls of buckwheat noodles and cook.

While the noodles are cooking, mix 1T minced garlic, 2T sugar, and 3T brewed soy sauce in a bowl until the sugar dissolves to make the sauce.

Rinse the cooked buckwheat noodles in cold water to remove starch and shake off the excess water.

Place the noodles in a bowl, pour in the prepared soy sauce and perilla oil, and toss to combine well.

Twirl the well-mixed mak-guksu with chopsticks and plate it neatly.

Drizzle the reserved perilla oil over the noodles to add extra fragrance.

Finally, garnish with dried seaweed flakes and green onion to finish.
