Stir-fried Squash

A delicious stir-fried squash recipe that adds umami with fish sauce and Spam, which even children enjoy.

Instructions

Slice 2 zucchinis into thin half-moon shapes.

Place the sliced zucchini in a mixing bowl, add 2T of fish sauce, and toss evenly to marinate.

Prepare the secondary ingredients by julienning 1/2 onion, a small amount of carrot, and 1/2 green onion.

Slice 1 red chili and some chili for color.

Mash 1/2 can of Spam using the back of a knife.

Grease a pan with 2T of cooking oil, add the sliced green onion and 1/2T of minced garlic, and stir-fry to release the aroma.

When the green onion turns golden, add the mashed Spam and stir-fry together.

Drain only the zucchini marinated in fish sauce, add it to the pan, and stir-fry thoroughly along with the onion and carrot.

Reduce the heat to medium or low and stir-fry for about 3 minutes to soften the squash.

Season with 1T of soup soy sauce (or salt).

Finally, add the sliced chili, sesame oil, and sesame seeds, stir-fry once more, and finish.
