Whole Squid Gan-Jjamppong
A recipe for making a large, delicious portion of the squid gan-jjamppong seen in Itaewon Class at home.

Instructions
Dice the onion so it can be blended in a mixer for the sauce.
Slice the red chili and Cheongyang chili peppers diagonally.
Place the diced onion in a mixer and blend it without adding anything else.
Add the blended onion to a prepared bowl.
Add 3 tbsp of red chili powder to the bowl.
Add 1 generous tbsp of soy sauce.
Add 2 tbsp of mirin.
Add 2 tbsp of oyster sauce.
Add 0.5 tbsp of pork lard.
Add 1 tbsp of minced garlic and some black pepper.
Mix the sauce ingredients well.
When the water starts to boil, add the udon noodles.
Boil the udon noodles for 2 minutes.
⏱️ 2m 0sRinse well in cold water to make the noodles firm and chewy.
Add enough cooking oil to a pan and heat it up; test the temperature by adding a piece of green onion.
Add all the chili peppers and green onions.
Turn the heat up high and stir-fry.
Add the mussel meat.
Add the cocktail shrimp.
Add the mussels.
Add the whole squid.
Add a shot of soju.
Stir-fry over high heat.
Add all the prepared sauce.
Add 1 tbsp of chili oil and stir-fry the vegetables.
Cook the seafood slowly over low heat.
Once sufficiently stir-fried, add the prepared udon noodles.
Stir-fry the noodles over high heat; since it is gan-jjamppong, it should be a dry stir-fry dish.
Turn off the heat and stir-fry briefly to finish the whole squid gan-jjamppong.
