Seasoned Shredded Squid

A seasoned shredded squid recipe that makes it soft and glossy without stir-frying.

What You'll Need

Shredded squid200g
Olive oil3 tbsp
Fine red chili powder1 tbsp
Dark soy sauce3 tbsp
Cooking wine3 tbsp
Grain syrup2 tbsp
Sugar1 tbsp
Cooking oil3 tbsp
Minced garlic1 tbsp
Whole sesame seedsa little

Instructions

Cut the shredded squid into thirds with scissors for easy eating.

Use your hands to spread out the shredded squid strands and untangle any clumps.

Add 3 tbsp of olive oil to the prepared shredded squid and knead with your hands to coat.

In a bowl, make the seasoning sauce by adding 1 tbsp of fine red chili powder, 2 tbsp of dark soy sauce, 3 tbsp of cooking wine, 2 tbsp of grain syrup, and 1 tbsp of sugar.

Add 3 tbsp of cooking oil to a pan, add 1 tbsp of minced garlic to create garlic oil, then pour in the seasoning sauce.

Reduce to low heat, pour in the sauce all at once, and boil until it bubbles.

Once the sauce bubbles, turn off the heat and let it cool for a moment.

Add the coated shredded squid to the warm sauce and mix by hand.

Sprinkle with whole sesame seeds to finish.
