What You'll Need

Instructions

Place the pork belly in a container and soak it in water for 10 minutes to draw out the blood.

Pour 1.5 liters of water into a pot and add the apple, onion, green onion, whole garlic, 3 tbsp of soybean paste, 3 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of whole peppercorns, and 5 dried chili peppers, all cut to the size of the pork belly, to make the broth.

Once the broth is boiling vigorously, add the pork belly and half a cup of soju, then boil for 5 minutes with the lid off.

Lower the heat to a simmer, cover with the lid, and boil for 40 minutes.
